Your driving licence

Drivers must be 25 years of age or older and must have held a valid driver’s licence for more than three years, issued in the renter’s country of residence.

Local driving permit

Non-OECS residents need a local driving permit unless they hold a valid international driving permit. The local permit costs US$21 and is valid for three months. If you stay in Saint Lucia for longer than three months, it can be renewed.

A valid international driving permit exempts you from having to obtain a local driving permit.
